Resolved Question: How easy/hard/expensive would it be to get yourself 'lost' on a deserted island?

Like deliberately getting yourself stranded? is there anyone who has done it without too much of a problem? what about immigration laws? eg if u were to just fly to some remote island in the pacific and lived there but it turned out it was part of the Marshall Islands micro nation would you be evicted by immigration authorities if you were found? its for an idea for a story btw, I'm not actually planning on doing it myself......
